Select the Farm Share that fits your household, gathering, community group, or kitchen—from a Small Share for 1–3 people to larger shares designed for families, neighbors, events, and restaurants.
How It Works
Our farm-share program is designed to bring seasonal harvests directly to your doorstep with ease.
Choose from two rotating seasonal menus, thoughtfully curated around what is available from our trusted local and regional farm partners.
Choose the share that best fits your household and the way you cook. Each Farm Share includes a balanced mix of seasonal vegetables, a leafy green, an herb or aromatic, and fruit—plus a complete cooking and meal guide to help you use the entire harvest.

A Return to the Milkman:
Handcrafted Wooden Crates
Built by Hand Made to Return
The Farm Route’s produce crates are handcrafted from carefully selected reclaimed pallet wood and locally available materials. Each crate gives useful wood a second life while creating a durable piece designed to return week after week.
Our crate exchange is inspired by the American milkman—a simple neighborhood system built around delivery, collection and reuse. At their best, return systems recovered approximately 80% or more of their containers. Historical milk bottles averaged about 22 trips before being lost, broken or repurposed. Instead of constantly producing disposable packaging, the same container served families again and again.
This slow, intentional practice honors the resourcefulness found in Indigenous traditions and among American farmers, homesteaders, woodworkers and craftspeople: use what is available, build only what is needed and make it well. It reduces waste and overproduction while creating meaningful paid work for local makers.
CSA members receive two handcrafted crates at a deeply discounted member price. One crate is yours to keep forever. The second remains part of The Farm Route’s weekly exchange system. On delivery day, leave the exchange crate outside, and we will collect it and replace it with a clean crate filled with your next harvest. Additional handcrafted crates will be available at full price in our store.
Built locally. Returned weekly. Made to last.
We believe in returning to a food system that honors the earth and the people who tend it. Rooted in the American tradition of knowing where your food comes from, we bring you seasonal produce picked during the week of harvest from local and regional farms. Inspired by old-fashioned milkman service, our reusable crates are swapped with each delivery to reduce waste. When we eat, we all eat—every Farm Route share helps provide a fresh Community Share for a hungry neighbor.

When We Eat, We All Eat
Every Farm Route order helps fresh food travel a little farther through our community. Our mutual-aid system provides Community Shares to local neighbors in need—many nominated by members of their own community—so giving is built into every purchase without an added donation at checkout. At launch, The Farm Route will provide one Community Share for every five paid Farm Shares. As the route grows, one Community Share will be provided for every ten paid shares.

A Return to The Milkman
Inspired by the return-and-reuse system of the neighborhood milkman, our crates are handcrafted from reclaimed wood and built to serve your family week after week. Members keep one crate while the second travels with us—returning each delivery day to be refilled with the next harvest. This thoughtful exchange reduces waste, supports local craftspeople, and brings a trusted American tradition back to the neighborhood.
